    '12-'13 Bruins Pre-season News/Notes!

Post news about the B's leading up to the season, pre-season schedule or any other important notes on the team.

BOS will have Dougie Hamilton in camp, likely to start season in NHL. How long teams can keep them without burning yr is unclear.

Probably come down to him, Aaron Johnson and Krug

Wonder if Spooner/Tardif will be called up into camp?

DOUGIE !!! hope he makes it...if he does what you think ??

    Boychuk-Chara
    Seids-Ference
    McQ-Hamilton

I actually think McQ is out until february or w/e:

    Boychuk-Chara
    Seids-Ference
    Johnson/Krug-Hamilton

    LONGSHOT but would be awesome:

    Hamilton-Chara
    Seids-Boychuk
    McQ-Ference

Caron's out for at least 3 weeks so that spot is open for someone

Bourque/Spooner/Tardif would probably have a crack at it.....

    Lucic-Krejci-Horton
    Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
    Pevs-Kelly-Bourque/Spooner/Tardif
    Paille-Soupy-Thornton

Now, if Seguin comes out and lights it up like he's been doing in Swiss, does that

A.) make Krejci expendable for a scoring winger or w.e

B.) Move him to the first line and demote either Looch or Horton.

    Lucic-Krejci-Seguin
    Marchand-Bergeron-Horton

that top 6 is great, it has speed, playmaking ability, and a guy to get in the corners (PWF) on each line...just my opinion

How do we look cap wise now. I think I saw we could spend up to 70 million this year.

68+ mil with about 1.3mil in cap space. I think next year it drops to 64 so we're gonna have some room to clear up.

    2013-14 we have Horton/Caron/Ference/Thomas/Rask/Khudobin as FA's

Thomas is gone so that's $5 mil freed up. Gonna be tough. Guys aren't going to be able to get any raises

Rask would be the main priority , provided he plays well this season.

Yeah...the problem is we already have a few guys getting raises next season.

Capgeek says we'll be a bit over 57mil spent already going into next season. Going to be a little tough on us.

Makes it look like we're almost gonna need to make a trade to get cap compliant for next year. Expect a lot of Krejci/Boychuk/Caron rumors in the offseason

yes but then i realized we don't have alot of cap space anyway so we wouldn't be able to sign him, men can dream though

Not so sure Krejci will get moved at all but I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Boychuk or Caron moved. I think there we have enough depth in Providence to make both of those guys expendable. With guys like Spooner/Bourque/Tardif and guys like Trotman or Krug with Dougie making the team out of camp.

I would make room if there was a chance we could sign him - give TT away to a team that needs to hit the cap floor and or trade Krejci(I would hate to do this because I think he is valuable to this team but feel Subban would be even more).
