I would love to believe that our "one move" is a grandy/lucroy deal or a huge package for stanton. But that won't happen. Our one move is to back the truck up to the Bronx, ship everyone to Tampa and see how we stack up. I think we're done for the offseason.

Cash has his own issues... I'd hate to postulate that might be the reason for his inactivity, but I can't think of a great reason why he's not involved in some signings (even the 1-yr deals) like haren or marcum.

Eight) No one's arguing that Martin isn't a better defender. In fact, you were the one talking about their hitting, which is the point I argued. I never said anything negative about defense.

Nine) There's a good chance Soriano would be the DH with Ichiro in the OF because of his better defense.

Ten) Soriano (at this point) gets on base as much as Martin would, if not more. He has a career OBP of .323. Martin's the last two years? .324 and .311

Eleven) Soriano is 37 years old this year, and 38 next year

Twelve) Here is the single highest reason why the Yankees won't do this deal... He is due 36 million over the next two seasons and you know that the cubbies will NOT pick up enough of that deal to make the Stienbrenner brothers look twice. It won't help get under the 189 million cap they have set for next year, it would severly hinder in fact.
