    Really just a question of health with him. But he should be a nice pickup. I've always liked Berkman a lot, such a dangerous hitter.

    Health risks are pretty insignificant given that its a one year deal. Very smart move by Texas. If he is still a good hitter it's a huge steal and he could help close the Hamilton gap in the lineup significantly.

    Being a full-time DH with maybe just the occasional stint at 1B when Moreland needs the day off should maximize the chances of keeping Berkman healthy.
