Should be a fun game. Don't sleep on the Magic though. Every once in a while they pull a rabbit out of their hat.
Amar'e Stoudemire to honor late brother Hazell Stoudemire by inviting children to watch NY Knicks play Orlando Magic
Amar’e Stoudemire will honor his late brother, Hazell Stoudemire, by inviting 30 children from their hometown of Lake Wales, Fla., to watch the Knicks play the Orlando Magic on Saturday.
Amar’e is providing transportation and tickets. He also plans to meet with the children after the game to talk about smart life choices and getting an education.
Hazell Stoudemire died on Feb. 6, 2012 in a tragic car accident. “Big STAT," as he was called, was a mentor to Amar’e throughout his life. This event date was selected because Hazell’s birthday was Jan. 4.
“I think of my brother and the knowledge he gave me every day," Amar'e said. "I hope by giving these children this unique experience, I will pay forward some of the positive impact Hazell made on me and my family.”
