Dickerson was placed on waivers to make room for some other dude who's a first base dh.
Russ canzler he had some up side 26 plays first and left hit .269. In 90 or so plate appearances.

I do like Dickerson some and think he may actually get some play on a smaller market team. But he was another LHed OFer, which is not what we really need right now. He's probably a better ball player than Canzler, but guys like Canzler and Diaz can compete to give us the RHed portion of a platoon for our OF. I grow worried that Cash isn't going to find a real platoon partner for our OF..

He isn't better then the 3 lh'd outfielders we have now so its not surprising we designated for assignment a 4th lefty outfielder. If he was a righty he might have had a shot.
