NBA Trade Rumors – Nate Robinson to NY Knicks?

NBA Trade Rumors – Nate Robinson to NY Knicks?
    January 04, 2013 05:55 PM EST
Nate Robinson has proved that height is not necessary to make a career in the NBA as the diminutive point guard is playing his eighth year in the league, but during that time he has jumped from team to team in search of a home. And if the latest trade rumors are correct, he will return to the NY Knicks, the team that made him a first round draft choice back in 2005.

Bleacher Report writer Jessica Isner has suggested that Chicago will likely move one of their guards when Derrick Rose returns to the team and Robinson is the likely player headed elsewhere. Recent reports have the 5'9" guard headed back to New York in a move that would add some depth and scoring punch to the Knicks bench.

Robinson is averaging nearly 11 points and 3.5 assists on the year and his career numbers are close to the same, but Chicago will have a log jam in the back-court soon and that could actually benefit New York as they search for added depth.

The NBA trade deadline is still a few weeks off, but rumors are starting to hit social media and sports sites as teams look to strengthen their rosters for the second half of the season. This is one of those deals that could happen and the NY Knicks would become an even bigger force in the Eastern Conference if they acquire Robinson before the deadline.

I haven't seen any actual sources suggest this, it says "recent reports" but doesn't link anywhere.

I don't see it. Bulls have no reason to do Nate for White or Nate for Kurt, while the Knicks won't trade Sheed for Nate.

Maybe Nazr and Nate for Thomas and White? Eh, still doesn't make much sense.

We need him, we need the depth....dont like the idea of rushing Shump then expecting the man to play like he did before the injury.

I saw this originated in the Chicago Times so we can leave this for now.

I knew the Knicks FO would be looking, I've been saying this for days.

    Love being right lol

Nate is an explosion but I thought it was perimeter defense and getting over screens we wanted? Nates not strong in those areas, I'd welcome him back but I won't be unhappy if we don't sign him either.

    Don't think we need him.
As long as Shump is back to start March, we should be fine.

sorry but he won't clear waivers, Knicks would never get him that way.

Philly is interested in him so they may have more to trade.

The question is what would the Bulls want? White, cope? Are we willing for Nate?

I wouldn't give anything other than Kurt or White for him.

Felton should be back in 3 weeks or so... as will Shump.. and that leaves our backcourt crowded.

I like Cope and think we should keep him longterm.

with teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks looking for a scoring point guard off the bench
All it says, still nothing indicating that the Knicks have even inquired about Nate, just that they're a fit

so what about the sentence before that?

Add that Robinson’s name continues to come up in trade rumors, with teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers and New York
No game tonight and no local rumors so its probably just that so we will let it ride till tomorrow, if no beat writers or Knick quotes it will be closed.
