    It is, but it's a long way from the city which I need to commute to and from, so I don't mind that I found a pad closer to "the sco".

    So alamedas legit eh?

    I mean they have beaches, but is there any kind of a nightlife/ bars, or any good restaurants? Or do you have to go over to Oakland or SF?

    I'm curious because I'm checking out the whole bay for possible places to live

    By legit I mean, unless you work elsewhere, you have no reason to go elsewhere on a regular basis. Take that for what it's worth from a single adult male in his prime.

    Depending on how far from the city you wanna live, I'd check out Walnut Creek. Nice little town in the east bay, 20 minute bart ride to SF.
