Camby of 5 years ago, maybe. He can't start on a long term basis.

hmmm? He started each yr including last yr and played 28 min per game, you obviously didn't know this.
And starting and minutes, does one really have to do with the other ?
I don't get your post at all? Starting doesn't mean you play 30 min?
KT started many games and played 6-8 min per game?
Now I can't fly my airplane
It's all about matchups lets see if he starts next game.
JR is NOT starting - He is our 6th man That means HE WILL BE COMING OFF THE BENCH!
I've been watching JR for some years now and he plays better off the bench than as a starter.
So when someone posts like this I actually go check and he plays just slightly better as a starter but its so close per 36 its a draw.......
So as far as that goes its up to Woody but anyone who has watched JR know he is playing a lot smarter and more team oriented under Woody.
I just think with Melo starting having JR off the bench makes more sense.
And if you check JR plays tons of minutes, nobody would be wrong here so i think we should simply go with Woody on this one, and he's going with him off the bench its very clear, he's started Brewer, White and Kidd so far. Even Cope got a start and Novak got a start, so its clear he's coming off the bench.

ok, here is an important question:
Knicks - Heat. playoffs game 1. 4 min left. 83-82 Knicks up. No foul trouble, nobody playing poorly or really well that day for NY. Who is on the court?
Chandler
Melo
Shump,
Kidd,
Wallace? JR? Amare??
Curious to know thoughts on this.
The starting line up when everyone is healthy is going to be...
Felton
Shumpert
Melo
Amare
Chandler
then the bench look like this...
Kidd/Prigs
J.R.
Brewer
Rasheed/Novak
Camby

I like the idea of two 7'ers defending the paint.
I think Woodson will continue to play around with the starting lineup until he finds the right formula.
One thing is for sure...JR will continue to come off the bench.

Pretty sure Shump will start at the 2 when he gets fully healthy.

I've thought that Sheed should start as soon as he proved he could still play.
Spreads the floor and helps defensively, blocks out better than Camby (but doesn't rebound as well). But his offense was actually needed off the bench IMO as the only interior scorer, and of course Camby and Amare haven't really been healthy until now.
