What were Matsuzaka's injuries? Beckett dealt with elbow stuff as a lad but never went under the knife. Lackey's problem was that his stuff was falling apart even before hitting FA.

Exactly and to think I got yelled at and ridiculed for suggesting such a thing a few weeks ago.

I wonder what a "sweetheart" contract extension would look like.

4/60 would be fine with me, even a little over (4/64).

I hate to even let that be a factor, but it does make me kind of want to see him extended.

    He needs to promise to:

1 - Never field the ball defensively unless he's the only option.

2 - Never take the bat off his shoulder unless he's 100% sure he can nail the sac bunt asked of him.

But without #1 what will we laugh at to distract us from the awful, awful pain we feel watching the rest of the team?

And then. He made them pancakes.

Not in the division enough to enjoy the hilarity.

Too mediocre to even be funny.

    And Gato covered the Astros.

A sweetheart deal would be to go back to what they were discussing last year AAS of 14.5 Million. My perdiction for Shark Deal is a 3.9 Million. Today is the deadline...I am not concerned about Russell getting signed as he will not hurt us much in Arbitration.

    - Was it confirmed at 14.5?

    - Even then, no it wouldn't. Garza at 15/16 is more than fair for both sides. Less would be yaaaaaaaaay.

A sweatheart deal is far below Market value and yes those were the numbers being tossed around. Either way I think we should Keep him unless we get the same package from Texas. I think we have some nice arms in the waiting. Man if Cabreara keeps on progressing I think he could be instrumental to this rebuild.

On another note Posey made 615,000 K last year now he gets 8+ million. Now that's pre arbitration at it's finest.

Yay on Garza at a discount. If he changes his mind we can always deal him. Regardless it should end up a win for us.
