Just for fun, Prado put up a 5.9 WAR last season and Upton had a 2.5 WAR.

I guess Barney and Clevenger should have been good enough then.

One year of Prado isn't valuable enough for the Braves not to get in on this. I think the Diamondbacks were holding tight to an infield upgrade (someone who could hit and field) coming back to them as part of a deal but Prado is due for some regression.

They already have two capable CF in Parra and Eaton.

Skaggs has to be getting dealt. They have Kennedy/Cahill/Miley/Delgado/McCarthy are all locks for the rotation. Hudson is going to come back at some point. Then you have you have Corbin and Skaggs looking way way from the outside. Theo needs to go get Skaggs right now.

Not going to lie, I'm a bit disappointed that we couldn't top that offer.

Granted, we couldn't give them an upgrade at 3B, but I would have liked to think Garza or Samardzija could have been in play on top of Baez. With that said, how in the hell is Towers going to ask for Castro from us then accept this kind of offer? I thought our FO and Ari's were supposed to be cool.

Oh well. The Braves look ****ing legit right now offensively. Cool to see the Upton bros playing together as well.

Apparently the Mets are asking the MLB that if they sign Bourn, they lose their 2nd-round pick instead of the 11th overall pick. This is because they would have been in the Top 10 protected picks record-wise, but were pushed to 11 when Appel didn't sign with the Pirates.

Definitely agree with this. I'd take Corbin too. Maybe we can do a mid-level prospect dump on them.
