It'd be nice to get an at least somewhat-proven pass rusher at DE or opposite Clay. Maybe Perry can do it, but it isn't like we have capable depth anyway.

Anyone, anyone.
I seriously think we have the best cornerbacks in the league as a whole since the emergence of house/Hayward and the bounce back from Shields.
There is no reason we can't find 2-3 guys to put pressure on the qb. IMHO, the 3 man rush is our handicap. Something has to change.

Why brad jones? He has played well IMO... is he a starting ILB on a good team? NO but he has been very valuable depth. As long as he doesn't cost too much then I hope we keep him.
As for the FA signings... I could see us grabbing a DL or OL for added depth but honestly we don't need anything that can't be addressed internally or through the Draft.
I agree with everything you said, I'm pretty impressed with his play at the ILB spot. if they do keep him does he stay in the middle? the ILB spot is pretty crowded when everyones healthy i guess it depends on who isnt cut and stuff but when Desmond and DJ Smith come back im guessing they are both ahead of him, and then of course we have AJ.

Lets sign Troy Smith. We can run the option then![]()

We can get players just as good for cheaper out of the draft and Rookie FA's. Jennings can go and be another Javon Walker bust because he is only good because the Packers scheme. Id like to see DD retire as a Packer so sign him for a cheap deal or hopefully he retires. LB's we can do better, keep Jones as insurance(Nothing like a good ol Harvard grad on your team).
We Need to focus on resigning ARod, BJ, CMIII to long term deals. Hopefully we can work with Woodson and he is willing to sign a new contract for slightly less money too.

New York is based around a 4-3 scheme I think.
Remember Aaron Kampman? they moved him to OLB because of his weight and size.
Osi weighs about 250 -255. He'd have to play OLB in a 3-4 scheme.
Thats to light to play DE or any D-Line position in a 3-4 IMO. they'd run at him every play.
