Cano, Nova, Logan, and either Heathcott or Williams for Upton and Aaron Hill.
I'm not a big Upton guy, but curious as to whether this would get Arizona's attention.

Forgot to add haha
I'm all in favor of being fiscally responsible as long as we have a well thought out plan and it doesn't prevent us from putting a quality product on the field. We should be able to put a quality product on the field for $189 mil.
The issue, however, is that we are stuck with big contracts for under performing players on the wrong side of 30 and our farm is not generating the players we need to fuel a youth movement. Thus, we will be stuck in mediocrity unless we use some of our aging assets to get pieces for our future.
IMO, we would be better off shaking things up.
1. Get CC to waive his non-trade clause and dump him to Texas for Olt and
Profar.
2. Trade Granderson to Seattle for prospects.
3. Make a serious effort to sign Cano with CC's money or trade him fast
before the season starts.
4. Make a serious effort to land a young star (e.g. Upton, Stanton, whoever)
5. Make a decision on the future of Hughes. Either sign him or trade him. Its
crazy to let him walk for free. Had we been thinking clearly about
Swisher, we may have been able to swap him and another for Choo.
^ you're crazy
And it's whomever* not whoever
I'm drunk, btw
RotoworldA source told David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution that the Braves have not restarted trade talks for Justin Upton since he rejected a move to Seattle.
The news isn't indicative of much. The Braves might no longer have interest in acquiring Upton, or they could be reevaluating what to offer the Diamondbacks for him. The Mariners' four-player package included Taijuan Walker, Nick Franklin, Stephen Pryor and Charlie Furbush.
