Unless he was cheap in terms of prospects, I'd pass on Morse.
Morse would definitely be a good fit. Like Upton though, it depends on the cost. I don't know how much I would really give up prospects wise for a one year rental. The team actually needs some players beyond 2013, which is where Upton fits nicely.
how the hell do we get him

Morse might cost more than Stanton.
Washington is in win now mode. Loira is in f$&k off now mode.
Washington would have to be stupid to part with him for anything less than a Kings Ransom and the Democratic taxes on top of it.
Any Questions?

The fact that he's what, 31..? might hurt his chances.
The way I see it is like this
Stanton - Hardest for Yankees to acquire, Best player, best potential, available at huge cost. Marlins can still choose to build around him.
Morse - Great power, 31 yrs old, perfect fit, but on a Nationals team in Win now mode.
Upton - Easiest to Acquire, great potential/could become better ball player, been made known to be very available
Each person will have their own opinion on who to acquire.
I'm coming to the thought process where I think a move is needed regardless.
RF needs to be upgraded.
We could have had Jason Bay for free. He has potential.
