He's never even caught 100 games in a season.

Have any of our catchers? He's probably caught as many games or more than any of our other "starting" catchers.

Do we have a "starting" catcher? You can't blame backups like Cervelli and Stewart for not catching 100+ games. Napoli could start 130 games if he were a good catcher and could stay healthy. Clearly he can't. So he's maxed out at 90 games and might not be signed to play 1st for Boston over concerns about his hip. Is this really the guy we want to try using as our everyday catcher?

If the Yankees passed on Pierzynski because they wanted a defensive catcher, there's no way they're signing Napoli, who barely qualifies as a catcher at all.

Well I mean they haven't caught 100+ games for a reason - they suck.

I don't think Napoli is a good option but I don't think he's a worse option than the crap they have now.

I just can't see Cervelli as the starting catcher, there has to be another option out there.

GET THE F$CK OUT OF HERE!

Jesus effin Christ, I could swing a bat better than Cervelli, and I haven't play ball in a couple years. As it stands right now, there should be no reason to not give Romine the starting job. He can't possibly hit worse then the other C's and has been known to be a solid defender. You can only be in the positive with Romine. Can't say the same about these other never-will-be's!

Thank you Mo! We will forever be grateful for your service to our team not only as a player, but as a person. A living legend. You will forever be in our hearts, and forever be the greatest of all time. Now go get them one last time, Sandman!

I'm going to catch. I probably cannot hit major league pitching, but I got a good glove.

That makes the most sense.....or he wants proof that his back can hold up before bringing him up.
