So what? He has some upside. At this point I'd rather let him take a shot at the MLB roster. If he gets injured we're back to Cervelli/Stewart, so no worse than if he started in AAA.

What's wrong with a 26yr old guy who happens to be our Aces favorite catcher? In 2010 and 2011 when Cervelli actually got playing time, he batted about .270....not to mention that he batted .300 with runners on or in scoring position and batted well into the .400's in 2011 and well into the .500's in 2010 when bases were loaded.

I'm not saying he's a hall of famer but you guys talk about him like he's garbage.

Career OPS+ of 84 and he's terrible defensively. So he's bad on defense and on offense. What's not to like. I at least have some faith in Romine as a solid defensive catcher.
