Could be, but I honestly dont think so. He needs more "seasoning" before he's ready for the MLB, IMO.

I hear that but if he is going to be the "next" Yankee catcher then he needs to play on the big stage or step aside. It's not like he was just drafted, he has been in the minors for awhile now
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

If we were putting our catchers where they should be we would have no starting catcher.

Going into the season with a Cervelli/Stewart catching combo is such a horrendous job on the Yankees part. Its not like Romine is a much better option but at least there is a little upside there.

He's spent A LOT of time on the DL. A lot. He has back issues. So you can't really say that.

When the Yankees let the only two FA starting catching options in Martin and AJ go they kind of threw the idea of starting Romine in AAA to get more seasoning out the window IMO. Cervelli couldn't even make the major league roster last year and now he's getting the starting catcher job? LOL

And we all know that a catcher with back issues isn't really a big deal

Sorry Bro! I haven't been on here in awhile and I am a smart ***....most of what I write is sarcastic...I do how ever feel that the vast majority of Yankee prospects are so heavily hyped that they can never live up to it. Romine included, and I don't believe he will be the next Yankee Catcher.

Oh, we're cool then. Sarcasm is one of my favorite things in the world.

So what? He has some upside. At this point I'd rather let him take a shot at the MLB roster. If he gets injured we're back to Cervelli/Stewart, so no worse than if he started in AAA.
