Well hopefully we get the W tomorrow
I don't think the roster's bad. We're missing the cog in our machine, and our star is playing like someone who should be buried on the bench.
Just a reminder, Air Bud was averaging nearly 12 points on 48% shooting (as a wing) in about 24 minutes of action.
United We Run
wow, what a lost. It looks like last year team was a little better.
defensively, at this point in time (with rubio/lee/roy out) we have the worst guard rotation in the league.
tinsley and watson outplayed ridnour and barrea. like, really?
it's a sad moment when the only player on your team that looks like they want to actually be there is lou amundson.
i gotta say, i expected a little more from steimsma this year too. he started off well, but hasn't had much of an impact since his first 5 or so games.
does anyone else miss lee more than they thought they would?
Just got done watching the game...pretty pathetic.
I know Love is getting a lot of flack right now, and I am going to keep piling on. The majority of the blame does come down on him. We signed him thinking he was a top 10 player. We built a team around him, thinking he was a top 10 player. Right now, I could probably think of 30 guys in the league that are better than him at this moment. The majority of our woes this season do fall on him...and, if we ever do start to make strides as a team, the majority of the reason will likely be because of him. Right now, he is just awful. He is hurting us more than helping. I am not happy with him at all right now. Its one thing to be in a slump, its another thing to be as negative of a teammate he has been, and to not give the effort we have been accustomed to seeing. There was a small fraction of the game, where I saw that the feisty KLove may have been coming out, which was midway through the 3rd quarter, after he got his technical, but that fight in him seemed to quickly fade, and he seemed to go back into that lethargic mode that he has seemed to be in all season.
On the other team, Enes Kanter looked good. I remember in the days leading up to the 2011 draft, there were rumors that Kahn liked Enes Kanter more than Derrick Williams. If those rumors were true, maybe he should have stuck with his instinct, instead of worrying about the backlash he would have received from the fan base and media had he selected Enes over Derrick. Who knows what player will have the better career, but Kanter may have had a bigger role on this team, than Derrick Williams does.
And back to Love. I am seriously just disgusted with him right now.
I am starting to resent Love. He needs to either be the player he thinks he is, or ****ing shut up.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
I went to bed early, didn't watch the game. Thank God!
Al Jefferson: When asked about former teammate Kevin Love's continued unhappiness--"To me, he accepted the deal, he signed the deal, move on from it," said Jefferson, who shares the same agent with Love. "It was his decision to sign the deal. You don't want the deal, you don't take the deal."
Got a pretty good chuckle out of this...
Love has done nothing to down play his comments. It's obvious just by watching him on the court he could care less about this team. He doesn't hustle, doesn't try to play defense, doesn't even care to rebound unless it's a pretty easy one, can't shoot and refuses to go in to the post and just chucks threes. He is no longer a superstar. He is a player that is all about his and in all honesty is hurting us now. Get him out of here, unless he gets his **** together.
