    Rex Ryan Leaves Town

    http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jet...nder-next-move

Rex Ryan has been eerily silent since the season ended.

The typically talkative coach hasn’t commented on the team’s decision to fire GM Mike Tannenbaum, the looming firing of offensive coordinator Tony Sparano, the new GM search or surviving the ax on Black Monday.

The team cancelled a scheduled press conference on Monday before Ryan ducked a radio interview later that day on the Jets’ flagship station.

    So, where’s Rex?

The Daily News has learned that not only isn’t Ryan at the team facility today, but he flew out of town this morning. Barring a drastic change in plans, he won’t be back to the team’s Florham Park headquarters on Thursday, either.

Ryan’s trip is of a personal nature, the News has learned. All indications are that Ryan took a mini-vacation as the Jets brass figures out its next move.

The Jets likely won't make any official announcements of coaching changes until they hire a new general manager, which could happen as soon as this week. Ryan told his staff to handle their paperwork during the rest of the week, but that no official moves are likely to happen until a new GM is in place.

So, when will Ryan speak again?

According to NFL media policy, the head coach is required to address the media sometime during the week after the final game.

We will have the press conference next Tuesday (against the rules). Also it is reported that Rex is in the Bahamas. Judging by that I am going to assume that Rex has absolutely no say in who our next GM will be, unless they don't start looking until next week, which would also be retarded.

Rex took a vacation? How dare he? Who does this clown think he is?

Obama took a vacation right before the fiscal cliff and I wouldn't doubt that the Daily News cared more about Rex not being there. I don't get why many writers for the Jets do their best to talk down about the Jets. With that's been going on with the Jets Rex needs a vacation and time to get away. I'm sure he will be evaluating his staff and players I don't give a giant flunk if Rex would rather get away then talk to the scumbag media that has no football experience except cleaning the equipment in high school

Manish wrote this article therefore we cannot believe anything in it. I only know it's the truth because other beat writers are saying it. Manish is a liar and a terrible writer. He starts beef when beef shouldn't be started.

    Don't really care.

Besides I believe he's being muzzled by Woody.
