Finding Dickey was 1 in a million.

But we picked up Mike Baxter and Justin Turner off the scrap heap, and both have turned out to be quality reserves. Neither had the potential that Brown seems to have based on his minor league stats. Brown could turn out to be a diamond in the rough, and if he doesn't, what have we lost? Very good low risk/high reward signing.

Back in 2010 there was a guy who got similar hype at ST. Remember, Chris "Animal" Carter. Many posters, including myself were excited about him, but he disappointed.

I see similarities between the two players.

Let's face it, many of the new faces on the team more than likely, will not be on the team by July 1.

Spinning things differently, at least we are going to field a lethal 2013 OF with the addition of Brown and Cowgill.......

Carter wasn't that bad for a bench player he was just exposed when he got WAY to many AB's

He's going to revive his career like Dickey on us and hit 30 hrs, drive in 90, and bat .280.

Plus Brown has a better track record in the minors than Carter.

Ohhh, I see what they're doing.

We're taking over the AAAA player market. Other teams are going to be in need of minor leaguers to fill out their AAA teams, but they won't be able to because we've signed all of the available players. This way, we can rip them off in a trade that they need in order to start their minor league seasons.

Oh yeah, it's all coming together now.

No because they cost real money.

    Mets Sign Andrew Brown

I will say this, Sandy has signed so many nobodies that after this year we may be talking about those hidden gems of money ball he brought in.

This guy could be a nice player, I almost want him to start.
Yes he does have good power and he hit .300 in professional ball. I would give him a shot on the 40 man roster.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
