This is different than the first time when the Celtics had 3? off days and practice time before the next game. The Celtics have, I believe 15 games in the next 30 days. There's not going to be much practice time.
I suspect he will get a few minutes in an NBA game, just to see where he's at in his development, and then spend more time in Maine. This is what I have been advocating. It makes sense for him to test the waters.
That is, unless he performs well if given NBA minutes.
EDIT: Or unless a trade is in the works.
