    Celtics recall Fab Melo

Im surprised they are doing this with Doc saying he isnt ready yet. I thought Danny would leave him there to develop. My guess is this is temporary and he is sent back soon....but perhaps they intend to give him a look instead of Collins.

I cant get on twitter at work so I couldnt provide a link but twitter via rotoworld is where I got this.

This is different than the first time when the Celtics had 3? off days and practice time before the next game. The Celtics have, I believe 15 games in the next 30 days. There's not going to be much practice time.

I suspect he will get a few minutes in an NBA game, just to see where he's at in his development, and then spend more time in Maine. This is what I have been advocating. It makes sense for him to test the waters.

That is, unless he performs well if given NBA minutes.

EDIT: Or unless a trade is in the works.

SI: Statistics suggest Joel Embiid will fully recover from foot surgery. But it could be 9-12 months before he plays http://bit.ly/1qwZuIB

The Celtics have recalled Fab Melo from the Maine Red Claws.

After a monster week with Maine, C's call up Fab Melo. With Avery Bradley back, if Rondo gets past the Physical Cliff, could be a fun night.

Getting called up to check on my concussion. I will probably be back with the #Redclaws this Friday.

Guess I should have anticipated that possibility, but reports said it was a "minor" concussion. Still, better safe than sorry.

Yeah, as I have stated he's not NBA ready, he's just not.

Best hope, Fab plays great grows (Basketball wise) over summer and next year gets a call up as 8-12 bench guy.

This starter stuff is just foolish.......The guy is lost at times, completly lost on the court.

Give him time, and be realistic...

He has to be recalled to the parent club in order for him to get looked at by our training staff. That's all it is.

read the news right with the statement: "... probably just to make sure his concussion is treated the right way.."

so no excitement on my part
