Too many big pieces, doubt it happens... Would Grizzlies really give up that much just to get Gasol with Mark?
Memphis would never.
Pairing the Gasol brothers who will get the best out of each other, a versatile guard who plays both the PG & SG position and a solid SF who can score especially from 3 is being 'violated'? Little extreme.
Better trade:
To Lakers: Conley,Zach
To Memphis: Pau,blake,duhon,ebanks,Clark and Sacre
So the Lakers get rid of Duhon, Ebanks, and Gasol for Rudy Gay, Moute, and Udrih? Right....

Pau & Monta's 2yrs (which if brought back afterwards could be signed for cheaper under the new CBA
>
Zbo & Gay's 3yrs 16M a piece.
Pau entering his mid-30s and an undersized scoring guard that plays no defense while losing one of the better SFs in the league and one of the very best post players in the league is rape. Plus Randolph is better than Gasol. There's absolutely no benefit other than the PR move of bringing the Gasol brothers together.
Where did these trade ideas come from?
Memphis & Milwaukee would never agree..
would be awful for memphis.
Duhon is a PG replacement for Udrih which I doubt they were keeping long term & considering he's under a 1yr contract. They trade him for Duhon who's on a half guaranteed contract at 3.5M or pay Udrih his 7M for the year if there's no takers or you can't package him.
Randolph replaces Mbah a Moute as the established veteran, Ellington for Monta's shooting & Ebanks for versatility, athleticism and defense.
