Brandon Knight ranked 9th best sophmore player this season by ESPNs David Thorpe

David Thorpe of ESPN ranked second-year players based only on this season, and Brandon Knight placed ninth:

"Like Thompson, Knight has proven that he has one very special skill: He can really shoot the deep shot. He’s up to 41 percent this season after a strong 38 percent from 3 last season, which is impressive. But he has not yet learned how to manage the game and to make easy passes/assists without being somewhat turnover-prone. Knight recently turned 21 and is known for his special work ethic and intelligence, so there is plenty of reason to believe he’ll improve a good deal. One side note: I’ve always thought he was going to be like Chauncey Billups, whose PER at age 21 happens to be the same as Knight’s now (12.7)".

If anyone can get ahold of this list then post it because I cant find it.I dont really see too many Billups comparisons but at least Knight is holding his draft value being selected 8th which I guess is somewhat positive lol.

Something tells me David Thorpe hasn't watched a Pistons game in 4 years.

I don't think we can post the link since an insider article.

Knight isn't as bad as you guys make him out to be. He just needs to cut down on his turnovers and become a 2

he basically summed up knights career, a decent 3 pt shooter and he cant playmake yet

But he has not yet learned how to manage the game and to make easy passes/assists without being somewhat turnover-prone
this exept \somewhat\ should be 'very'

Didn't we pick him like 7th overall? So he's basically worthy of the spot we selected him at...I expected much more from knight, foolishly thinking there wasn't that much of a difference between him and Irving.

lmao. ya all knight can do is hit an open 3 point shot. True skill there.

    What else????

Cause he has already proven to us he is an inconsistent ft shooter, horrible defense, horrible fg% and not to mention a shooting guard in a point guards body. Honestly, point guards are bigger then this dude.

He is suppose to have speed, that was suppose to be to his advantage, but this guy always allows people to blow right past him on defense like jimmer freddet.

And on top of it all he can't even average 0.5 steals per game
wtf does he do out there?

Kemba walker is playing better as a point guard then Knight is. How sad is that

It's cuz Kemba looks like a love child of Dwyane Wade and John Wall.

Knight as a 2? He is a little under 6'3", too undersized to be a starting 2 in the league.

    Maybe as a 6th man

Wade, cuz he's definitely become a pansy, even though Wall is out.

3.1 turnovers isn't that bad for a 21yr old pg who just played his 100th game & lately he's been taking better care of the ball. You guys are way to impatient , especially when it comes to a young pg. It took billups 6 seasons & 5 diff teams to get it right. And Stop acting like that's all knight can do is shoot 3's did he shoot a 3 to win the game over Toronto? No he split 2 defenders & finished at the rim. Did he not take it to the rim & score like 5 times on the kings?? His defense isn't to bad did he lock down lillard??? Yes he did & Jennings too. One thing about knight is he shows up against other great pgs. Like d will or Paul which he out played both of them & had less turnovers in those games this yr. Was rondo holiday or conley good pg their 1st couple of yrs??? No they wasn't & rondo had 3 allstars & conley had 3 allstars on his team too. These are growing pains of a young pg deal with it. Thorpe also sad he expects knight to improve a good deal. He didn't say nothing about moving him to sg & I'm sure he knows more about basketball then ether one of us the kid will be fine.
