Prime Baron Davis Vs Current James Harden

Who do you think was a better player? Some people I know are debating this. Curious to see what the "gurus" on here think?

Baron Davis. Davis was in the class of explosive PGs with guys like Penny Hardaway and Steve Francis. He was a better defender and is much more of a playmaker than Harden.

I think Harden just may have the edge in terms of offensive arsenal. And that may be debatable too.

I think the comparison should be Baron vs Westbrook or Rose. They all played the PG position rather than PG vs SG. They are all explosive shoot first PGs, but which one would you have wanted on your team?

Baron Davis is 6'3" 200 with a career FG % of .409. He was also the primary distributor and scorer on a lot of bad teams, yet the most he ever put up was 23 PPG (at the age of 25). He was mediocre at best defensively.

James Harden is 6'5" 220. He's stronger and bigger and plays like it. Also, he's not the primary ball handler for his team (another comparison of two guys who play different positions on the court). He's a much better shooter (.445 for his career), inside and outside, rebounder, defender and has the superior beard. Oh, and he's just 23. Its not even close.

What! Is that a joke? An harden is not as good as an in shape baron Davis on either end of the floor. Baron's problem is he spent a lot more time at 215-220, than at 200-205.

Ps. That "not even close" thing you people say is really stupid. I always question the knowledge of people who say that, because it's rarely ever true. An this is a perfect example of that.

    Close but Prime Davis
    Favourite Teams:

Boston Red Sox: 46-52, games this week vs. Blue Jays (4), Rays (3)
Indianapolis Colts: Good draft and off-season so far.
Looking for new NBA team to cheer for
Ottawa Senators: 37-31-14, season over, free agency begins this week.
