    Devin Hester Wants to Retire

Emotional Devin Hester says he is considering retiring from NFL
An emotional Devin Hester says he's not sure he wants to play for the Bears anymore. He is furious at Lovie Smith's firing.
Devin Hester: "I don't even know if I want to play again. Man, it's been on my mind for two years now."
Devin Hester: "Media, the false fans, you all got what you all wanted."
Emotional #Bears WR Devin Hester: "I have my workersí comp papers in my pocket. See how I feel go home and talk to my wife, my family," Hester said. "See where we go from there. Iíve got two beautiful kids, man, young. Two boys. A lot of stress has been on my mind lately."
Everyone has been talking about it but I figured I would make a separate thread so everyone can talk about it in one place

    Go right ahead, Hester.

I loved you for what you did in the past, but you were absolute **** this year. Honestly, I was hoping he'd get cut this offseason anyway. He was utterly useless.

    Devin Hester Wants to Retire

Honestly, I've lost respect for him. Don't blame the fans for Lovie's firing. And you shouldn't talk like that when you've done nothing this year. Just retire or go somewhere else.

Good riddance, you all can jump on the bus with Lovie, Urlacher too. Time for a change and you all will be gone, and we'll still be here rooting for the 'C', not the name on the back.

    It's a Team, not a Player.

Hester had some great years, but honestly hasn't done anything for 2-21/2 years now. I think he will get cut or have to take a huge paycut with no guarantee of making the team.

I'm sure he's upset about Lovie, but maybe he should have performed better the past 2 years as a returner and figured out how to at least become a decent wr.

Am I the only one a little freaked out by the bizarre cult like worship that the players have with Lovie? This Chicago Bears team is more like a cult or than a football team, and they dont win enough games a year to be the cult they are. Some of these guys have a borderline religious fixation with Lovie. We need a coach to come in and break this cult mentality up and make a football team.

Good...retire....it's not like he can play Wide Receiver anyways. He was a phenomenal kick returner but the rules of the NFL have pretty much rendered that useless.

Why is it that plenty of players can still take KOs to the house then?

I really hate when players blame the fans. Get over yourself Devin and stop being overly dramatic because a mediocre Head Coach lost his job.

I'll always love what you did for the Bears, but you're clearly not the same player anymore and this team might be better off without you now anyway.
