Per @jwyattsports:
Titans owner Bud Adams just informed Mike Munchak he will be back with the team in 2013.
Im glad. Munchak is a good coach, just needs quality assistants, and a GM that can pull the trigger.

....and front office executive Mike Reinfeldt is relieved of duties.
The next person that needs to go is Jerry Gray. Maybe even Brett Maxie also.

Just Mike Reinfeldt? Was he one really pulling the strings in the offseason?
I had no idea Reinfeldt was in jeopardy. I guess he was still playing GM even though he was no longer in that role.
So many better coaches available. Whatever as long as we can get some new coordinaters.

Destination Mediocrity!!!!!
I refuse to sit through another season of this crap! No heart, no emotion. Munchak standing on the sideline with a constipated look on his face, clueless how to stop the opposing team and getting out coached in every game. How do Webster and the rest of the front office get a pass? Jerry Gray I'm on the fence about. The defense did show signs of improvement but it was against some of the worst teams in the league so I am not sure. Bud Adams is a senile old fool who will die without ever reaching another superbowl. His poor decisions are killing this team. I really think this might be it for me guys. I have been a fan since Earl Campbell, have tons of gear, never miss a single game and I even survived the year with Bucky Richardson at QB but I just don't think I can take it anymore. I will never cheer for another team but I may take a long break from supporting this team and league. This may be an overreaction so I reserve the right to change my mind but that's how I feel at the moment. Sickening![]()
Who didn't see this coming?![]()
Here is the problem I have with this team. There is almost nothing to look forward to on this team. What are they building towards for fans to be hopeful about in all honesty?
Quarterback
Going into this season fans had reason to be optimistic about the future of this team with Jake Locker. Well he didn't have a good season. I don't know how much of that you can put on the injuries but he simply failed to perform and even as the season progressed was sloppy and inaccurate with his passes.
You will hear people say yeah well give him time.... Its hard when you look and see rookies and other 2nd year guys all over the league having far more success than Locker.
Blaine Gabbert - Put up better numbers nearly across the board on a 2-14 Jacksonville team
Nick Foles - A 3rd round pick and rookie stepped in late in the season and finished with a better completion percentage and passer rating than Jake Locker.
Colin Kaepernick - A 2nd round pick from last year stepped in for San Francisco and had an amazing year and heading to the playoffs.
Christian Ponder - Taken after Jake Locker last year in the draft and has considerably better numbers and his team is in the playoffs.
Russell Wilson - A 3rd round rookie from this year his numbers blow away Jake Locker and his team is in the playoffs.
Robert Griffin - Another rookie who has numbers that make Jake Locker's look terrible and his team is in the playoffs.
Andrew Luck - A rookie from this year had over 4000 yards passing and his team is in the playoffs.
Andy Dalton - A 2nd round pick from last year has been very impressive for Cincinnati both seasons and has them in the playoffs.
Cam Newton - The top pick last year has put up two very good seasons for Carolina.
So how much time and patience do you have when guys across the league are stepping in and having immediate success on both good and bad teams? If you want to say that those guys are on better teams then the Titans need to make a move at GM because many of those guys above came into bad teams and are now in the playoffs.... If not the GM or the Quarterback then its a matter of coaching and then in that case Munchak and his staff (minus Alan Lowry one of the best ST coaches in the league) need to go....
Then you have to consider that Matt Hasselbeck is leaving in offseason. We have Rusty Smith on the bench who will never be anything in the NFL. So aside from hoping that Jake Locker pans out the Titans really have nothing at quarterback to fall back on next season.
I'm not even gonna bother with a big write up for the rest
Chris Johnson - Is gonna be 28 this year and being a speed back that means he likely only has 2 maybe 3 years left in the tank. He is already the most overrated and overpaid running back in the league IMO.
Nate Washington - This will be his 9th year in the league.
Damian Williams and Kendall Wright - Good young receivers
Kenny Britt - A waste of amazing talent his focus and ability to do the football things on the field have been horrible.
Jared Cook - Doesn't want to be a Titan anymore but will probably get franchised
Michael Roos and David Stewart - Will both be 31 this year.
Colin McCarthy - Has showed flashes but has been unable to stay healthy and was a liability in pass coverage
Zach Brown - Started off slow but had a big finish both in pass coverage and rushing the passer
Akeem Ayers - Is also a liablity in pass coverage
McCourty and Verner - Probably not good enough when you consider that you now have 10-12 guys throwing for over 4000 yards every year. This is a passing league and these guys aren't good enough period.
Michael Griffin - He got his contract and then went out and had the worst year of his career. He is near the bottom of the league for starting safeties in terms of missed tackles and pass coverage efficiency.
Rob Bironas - This was his worst year since he first came into the league.
LG, Center and RG - They don't have any
Kamerion Wimbley and Derrick Morgan - Aren't good enough to be put next to a makeshift rotation of defensive tackles.
I know that I sound negative but really this team needs a ton of help across the board and that is just on the roster. The coaching staff and front office haven't shown any reasons for optimism either....
I know I'm not alone either because this is a picture of the stands from the Jacksonville game. There were free tickets on craigslist as close up as 10/11 rows from the sidelines.

This isn't good at all...Mike munchak is not a good head coach...he's not even a great o-line coach...but when there are so many coaches out there like gruden, cowher, saban, lovie smith, andy reid, ken wisenhunt and more...how do you not try to contact one of them???
"Teamwork makes the Dream work"
Apparently Reinfeldt got fired because he didn't try hard enough for Manning.

Highly doubt Gruden and Cowher leave their postions as TV analyst.
Hell I wouldn't mind Lovie Smith.
