Bagels....

So what is your favorite bagel place and what kind and how do you have them made? I am obsessed with a bagel place by my house called Big Apple Bagel and every time I go there I get usually 2 poppy-seed bagels with original cream cheese toasted....its sooo damn good!

There's a place here that makes garlic bagels and has a cream cheese and chive spread. OMG

Big apple is good, especially the chocolate chip cream cheese. einsteins is what i grew up on.

There's a local shop in town called Poppyseeds. They make the best Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwiches ever. I usually get that on an everything whole wheat bagel.

When at home with cream cheese, and while out i go to Noah's New York bagels they have a variety of choices i usually get the cheddar with chicken salad or turkey. If your in LA area, check this place out

i like mine with lox and either pesto or chimichurri (yeah, that's right) and tomato, onion and caper. i also like it toasted with my grandma's strawburrrrrry jam. of course, a toasted bagel, egg, cheese and either bacon or sausage patty sandwich is the shiznittlebamsnipsnapsack.

Just went back to NY for Xmas.....had Bagel Boss and a few others. had bagels almost every morning out there.

can't even look at the bagels here in LA. Even the lox were better out there.

What are people's thoughts on Panera Bread? When I went to Florida last year, I had sesame seed, regular and whole wheat on peanut butter and I thought it was pretty good.

Brooklyn Water Bagel is the closest thing to NY bagels in LA and it doesn't quite compete with most NY bagels.

Everywhere else just sells round bread with holes in them, not bagels.

agreed... although in south florida (and especially in delray when we go with lolo's brother and sister-in-law), you almost feel like you're in a brooklyn jewish retirement home whenever you go to BWB.

Panera Bread is good although Einstein bagels are better.

ironic because there was this place in my town called BroadwayJoes. It offered $2 sandwiches to highschool students. Great bagels. poppyseed garlic with butter or creamcheese
