Didn't watch the game closely...but both had a sack in the game. Through about 3 quarters, the LSU D-Line was the story of the game...pressuring Tajh Boyd mercilessly, but the 4th quarter proved to be different. I know that Mingo was sick going into the game and left the game with an injury part way through...don't remember what the injury was and I can't find anything on-line about it, so it must not be anything major.

Didn't see the game but both Montgomery and Mingo recorded a sack each. Mallicah Goodman had 3 sacks for Clemson. The underacheiving DE played well for much of the season but didn't put up much in the way of sacks until his team's bowl game against a very solid LSU o-line. He's a mid-round prospect according to many talent evaluators.

Clemson FS Richard Hall is a guy I really like. Was hoping he would come out last year as I thought he was very underrated. However, despite playing solid football on a really good team his stock hasn't risen much at all. Keep an eye on this guy during the draft season. You heard it here first....

If Manti Te'o is on the board there is no way you pass on a defensive player of that potential. But if he is gone trade down. Because there are plenty of corners with the same potential as Millinier, trade down and take Banks. That way you can get a second rounder.

Not really 2013 NFL Draft related...but did anyone else see Jadaveon Clowney decapitate a Michigan RB??? This kid is a freaking freak!!! I am glad that I don't have kids, because I would be afraid for their safety in the same ZIP code as this human torture machine!

That was absolutely insane. Easily one of the most explosive plays I've ever seen from a defensive end. He's going to be a lock for the #1 pick next year.

I almost hope that he doesn't play next year so that he doesn't risk getting hurt, which seems to happen to top talent at South Carolina. It is a shame, for him, that he has to wait. He would be the #1 pick this year without a doubt...should be the favorite for the Heisman heading into next season, sorry Braxton...but for your sake, just hope that you don't run in to this badass next year in the National Championship game!!!

It's almost not fair how good he is. He is an absolute monster and hopefully ends up in the NFC

Clowney could have skipped college and gone to the NFL out of high school. The guy is just a freak. He's learning at a great program that has been pumping out some superior talent on the defensive side of the ball for years now and he could even get better as scary as it is to say that.

Watching the Northern Illinois / Florida State game at the moment. Players to watch for the Seminoles:

Bjoern Werner - projected top 10 talent, possibly the best DE in the 2013 class.

EJ Manuel - QB with all the physical tools, struggles thinking the game occasionally.

Xavier Rhodes - huge corner that's lightning fast and can knock you out. Could be the "Optimus Prime" of corners at the next level.

Interesting to see mocks this early with no coach or GM but I know it's all in fun. Interesting to see what coach/GM or personnel director we get to see our FA moves. That will really determine our draft philosophy and possible targets. Looking forward to the ride that will take place until late April.

Browns are going to retain their entire scouting staff. Glad to hear this. Someone commented earlier on this about how great of a staff Heckert assembled and was wondering if they would stay.

Watched all of the game and Clemson's O-Line especially in the first half might have been one of the worst performances I have ever watched. Completely blown off the ball and missed multiple assigments and couldn't ever get to the second level. Being an FSU fan and watching ACC all year this was with their defense their biggest achilles. Mingo and Montgomery both played a decent game as well but the real star on the LSU defense was Minter the LB. Probably will only be a 2 down LB in the NFL but the guy was all over the field. Clemson won the game because they had more playmakers on offense in Boyd and Hopkins who couldn't be stopped. Eric Reid had some nice plays but then some bad ones as well. I would rather have Damonte Moore, Bjorn Werner or Dion Jordan if they go for a pass rushing DE in this draft. Mingo struggled a lot this year especially against good tackles in Joeckel, Mathews, Fluker. If I had to pick one of Mingo or Montgomery though it would be Montgomery due to his size and ability to play the run better. Plus he doesn't just flash like Mingo does but is complete.

EJ is about 2-3 years out from making an impact if one at all in the NFL. He lobs a lot of his downfield balls and expects his playmakers to bail him out. He has trouble reading coverages b4 the snap and can't read a blindside blitz to save his life. Way too inconsistent at this time to be considered a prospect that can come in and compete right away but in 2-3 years if he gets into the right system and develops could be the best QB prospect in this class IMO due to his size and intangibles.

Xavier Rhodes reminds me a lot of the Seattle corners. Loves jamming people at the line and being physical with them. Sometimes this gets him in trouble though as he depends on his size and makeup speed too much in college where at times bigger WR's that get off the line can burn him deep. Don't know how much he would get away with that in the NFL. I think he will be a second round pick once draft time comes and think he should have come back next year as another year of polishing would have helped him but with Stoops leaving and him probably getting a top 2 round draft advisory that was enough for him to leave.

Bjorn Werner - The Germanator. Love this kid. Has played both end spots at FSU so I don't think he would have issue going back to RDE to keep Sheard at his more natural spot or LDE. Was confused why they had him standing up roaming so much last night as he is better with his hand in the dirt but I think they were trying to give them different looks and he still did a decent job showing he can stand as well. Very good against the run and great instincts for a guy that has only played 5 years of football since coming over seas. Still has an abundance of potential IMO and reminds me and probably other people of JJ Watt lite. If he is there at #6 he is my pick if they go DE. Sadly I think he goes in the top 3 if he does come out. I wish to the Lord above he stays at FSU.

Thanks for the insight, Otto. I really like Werner and Rhodes. Werner is obviously one of the top players in this class as you noted so I'm not sure we'll get a shot at him. Also, I like the comparison of Rhodes to the Seattle CB's with the physicality and intensity he brings to the field. I love seeing a CB play with that type of motor and aggressiveness. Like you said, he'd have to make some adjustments at the next level, but I love the way that he plays.
