    85Bearsdefense Off season mock

    Defensive Coordinator: Rod Marinelli
    Offensive Coordinator: Norv Turner
    Special Teams: Dave Toub

Explanation on coaching: McCoy has had QBs Tebow, Orton, Delhomme, and Manning. Tebow and Orton have had their most productive seasons under McCoy if he can get production out of Tebow he can out of Cutler. As for Norv he is one of the best offensive minded people in all of football and would be an asset to have on the staff.

    Cuts

    1. Matt Spaeth: He has no business making 2 million plus we are changing the offense.
    2. Kellen Davis: Not a serviceable TE and is making to much money.
    3. Jamarcus Webb: No need for this guy to be on the team.
*4. Devin Hester: 7.6 Cap hit is a killer.
*If he does not restructure his contract which is what my first step would be.

    Player Re-Signing

    1. Henry Melton: 5 years 35 Million (15 guaranteed)
    2. Brian Urlacher 2 years 8 million
    3. Nick Roach 2 years 3 Million
    4. Lance Louis: 3 years 8 million
    5. Izzy 1 year 1.5 Million
    6. Kelvin Hayden 1 year 1.5 Million
    7. Nate Collins 2 years 2 Million
    8. Amobi Okoye 1 year 850K
    9. Josh McCown 1 year 850K

Free Agent Signings (Should have 15 Million left)

    1. Sign Brandon Albert 5 Year 30 Million
    2. Sign Brandon Moore 3 Years 10 Million
    3. Sign Delanie Walker 2 years 4 Million

    Draft:

    Trade 2012 1st Rounder (20th), 2013 1st Rounder, and 2013 4th Rounder to Bengals for 2012 Oakland 1st Rounder (3rd Pick) and 2012 3rd Round Pick.

    Trade 2012 2nd Rounder, 2012 5th Rounder, and 2013 2nd Rounder to Giants for 2012 First Rounder and 2013 4th Rounder.

Trade 2012 6th Rounder for Jacoby Ford

Round 1 (3): Luke Joeckel LT: Instantly fills our most glaring weakness at LT and gives Cutler a solid offensive line this kid is a stud.

Round 1(18): Alec Ogletree ILB: Slide him next to Briggs and Urlacher and let him learn under 54 for 2 years and then let him take over.

Round 3: Robert Woods WR: A fast WR who can stretch the field and make big plays for an offense starving for them.

*Round 3 (If Woods does not fall): Bacarri Rambo S

Round 4: Travis Kelce TE: Cincy TE is a steal at this point and is crazy athletic with great hands and play making ability.

    Team (Starters go first)

    QB Cutler/McCown
    RB Forte/Bush/Allen
    FB Rodriguez
    X WR: Marshall/Woods/Bennett
    Z WR: Jeffery/ Woods/ Bennett
    Slot: Woods/ Bennett/ Weems
    TE: Kelce / Walker
    LT: Luke Joeckel
    LG: Brandon Moore
    C: Roberto Garza
    RG: Lance Louis
    RT: Brandon Albert

Offensive Analysis: With the additions to the offensive line (LT, RT, RG) this team will have no problem pounding it down other teams throats which will help set up play action which McCoy's offense is predicated on. We can also run 2 TE sets with Kelce and Walker and punish teams. If needed we have the protection to throw but our WR are inexperienced past Marshall and Bennett.

    Defense

    LE Wooten/ Izzy
    UT Melton/ Okoye
    NT Paea/ Collins/ Izzy
    RE Peppers/ McClelein
SLB: Alec Ogeltree/ Nick Roach/ Blake Costanza
MLB: Brian Urlacher/ Nick Roach/ Blake Costanza
WLB: Lance Briggs/ Nick Roach / Blake Costanza
    CB: Charles Tillman/ Tim Jennings/ Kelvin Hayden/Sherrick McMannis/Isaiah Frey
S Major Wright/ Chris Conte/ Bacarri Rambo S (If Woods is gone)/ Brandon Hardin

    Defensive Analysis
Not much to say here, bring back the squad that carried the team last year and possibly induce some youth and big play making abilities with Rambo and Hardin. Ogeltree will be a big addition and learn from Urlacher as he rides off into the sunset.

    K Robbie Gould
    P Adam Podlesh
    KR Jacoby Ford
    PR Jacoby Ford
    LS Patrick Mannelly

Did my plan before seeing the rules although I think mine is ok let me know if it isn't found player contracts online.
    Have at it

Numbers have to be off and no way those trades happen. They don't make sense and when this team needs to get younger almost everywhere, makes 0 sense to trade away next years 1st and 2nd round picks. Plus to Norv Turner

    Hold on I got more.

    Hester's cap it isn't 7.3

You are going to trade last years draft picks plus this years picks to move up that right?

By moving up if that was some sort of possible you are already out of money at FA. So none if those guys.

Albert is a top LT and you move him to RT?

We start a 4th round draft pick at TE? With only one back up?

Stopped reading after Norv Turner. If he can't stir a ship with Rivers/Floyd/Gates/Meach/Matthews then he's gonna do crap here.

I'm not gonna vote because I'm not gonna do a mock, because I really don't follow football outside of the Bears like y'all do. But if I did, I would vote this is ridiculously unrealistic. If we got Albert for that, Emery should truly be sitting on a ****ing throne in Halas Hall. My god, that would be nut-worthy.

Norv Turner is actually a pretty good OC. They were top of the league in offense and defense one year but still didn't make the playoffs. Just like lovie is a better DC than HC I think Norv is the offensive lovie

    A- for the FA signings

    A for the Draft (Dat O-line )

F for realism. This wont happen. We didn't trade up to 3 to get Kahlil last year we won't do it for Joeckel this year
