    Greg Burke Bull Pen Arm

Greg Burke is a little known bull pen arm who had a brilliant 2011 season in the minors for Orioles last year. He spent the 2012 season between Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles' system, combining to go 3-1 with a 1.53 ERA in 44 games out of the bullpen. This year he is also having a solid minors season this year...Here is a link to an article about him:

Maybe hell get an invite to spring training.

    There's always a catch.

Minute Rice: Put him in the bullpen, warm him up, and he's ready to serve.

He wont get an invite because he is on the 40 man roster already. He will be there and likely make the team.

He did have serviceable numbers in his lone big league action in 2009 4.14 era in 48 appearances, with a 1.55 WHIP. Nothing spectacular but maybe fill a hole we have in the bullpen for cheap.

No catch?! And also is that Carl Crawford in your sig? Far right?

He throws from a low side/submarine arm slot now so his past numbers don't mean much. Based on his numbers he might be a valuable cheap asset.

Yeah I did read that, sort of a Dickey type story changing his throwing style late in his career, except he is a bullpen arm instead of a starting pitcher.

2013 roster will be filled by AAAA players, underachievers and whomever else is cheaply available.

Congratulations Mr. Burke, you qualify. The job is yours.....

My Vote For 2014 Mets Starting SS.

We weren't competing in 2013 anyway. can't wait to see how high a draft pick we get next yr. Let's hope for number 1. Might as well keep up the rebuilding by netting a #1 pick. Gonna be a long season.
