    LaRon Landry

The Jets other pro bowler after Antonio Cromartie is a free agent.

    Do you:

    - Let him go
    - Give him a long term deal

    Facts:
Tyvon Branch of the Raiders was tagged for 6.2 mill last season
Michael Griffin of the Titans was tagged before signing a 7 yr 35m deal with 11 guaranteed
Landry signed a 1 year 4 million dollar deal coming off an injury and made the pro bowl, due a large raise

Just realized landry has a clause that says the Jets can't tag him, can somebody remove that option from the poll?

    I'd let him go.

I've said before, but he is too inconsistent. He makes big hits but he misses tackles he should make.

Let him walk, without hesitation. He's overrated and will be overpaid by someone, and that someone shouldn't be the Jets. Jets should end up with a nice compensatory pick.

He was good but not good enough to overpay for him. If Revis was healthy it would have been REALLY hard to pass on us this year. For shame.

I'd keep him for the right price, but he'll probably demand a lot of money, in which case I say let him go.

Pretty much agree here. Landry hopes went out the window with the franchise tag.

Problem is that he's the best safety they've had in a long time.

Sad it was this season, really liked him and we didn't go far. Would we get a compensatory pick for him?

Resign him, and play him at SS only.

Part of the reason Landry struggled is because the Jets don't have a true cover S, and they would rotate the position between Landry and Bell.

Landry is a SS wrecking machine, maybe take a look at Robert Lester in the 3rd.

I'd say try to re-sign him. He proved his worth in one of the preseason games against the giants when he cracked Cruz. Cruz DID NOT go over the middle for the rest of the game. He's the best safety we've had in a long time. When we had a healthy Revis this was bar none the best pass defense in the NFL, actually we I believe we just finished 2nd or 3rd for the year. But come on, NO WAY in hell do we finish with a top pass defense with an injured Revis and imagine Jim Leonard and Eric Smith the deep safties. The guy is a difference maker.......RE-SIGN HIM.

Yeah I agree. I would bring him back for a reasonable deal.

Overrated, I wanted to sign him to a multi-year deal last year while his value was low. Now he will be overpaid, **** it.
