Hopefully no one gets hurt. If not then I think the two open spots would be Scribner in the pen, and either green/weeks at the utility spot. All depends on ST results

I don't think Weeks will fill the utility role because he can't really play any position other than 2B due to his noodle arm.

    What opening day lineup??
    Crisp cf
    Sizemore 2b
    Cespedes lf
    Reddick rf
    Moss 1b
    Carter DH
    Donaldson 3b
    Norris C
    Hiro ss

Probably something similar to that. Or the matchups might be different depending on the pitcher.
    Oh and Brett Anderson starting.

I don't think Beane would let Green start the year in Oakland unless he was starting. I think Sizemore could fill in at SS in an emergency situation. Barring a major injury, Nakajima is our everyday SS.

I agree but would like Melvin to ease him into MLB pitching by letting him hit 9th.

    My lineup would be

    CF- Crisp
    2B- Sizemore
    RF- Reddick
    LF- Cespedes
    1B- Moss/Carter
    DH- Young
    3B- Donaldson
    C- Norris
    SS- Nakajima

Chris Young is interesting.... He's a great fielder so whenever one of our three mains nerds a day/half day off, he's more than able to fill in. I think he's the X Factor to our success

I don't think Young is going to be a backup, I actually wouldn't be surprised if he got the majority of time in center.

Lol. Well if weeks wins the job at 2nd and he produces, it's his job to lose. If that doesn't happen, probably just Chris Young

I really like our teams depth. Young or Coco in CF everyday, with Seth Smith or whichever OF'er doesnt start at DH. It's a great problem for us to have.

Obviously the biggest question mark at this time is 2B. All depends on ST results. Right now you'd think Sizemore would be the favorite, but what if the guy completely sucks from the year away from real life pitching? Other than that, I think every other spot is in good hands
