It was a win. Sadly it probably had more of a negative effect than a positive one in my opinion.
(1) The defense played well in parts but still Jacksonville put up 20 points and had over 5 yards per carry running the ball with Chad Henne completing over 60% of his passes. Those numbers aren't terrible but they sure fail to be big enough to overshadow all the negatives considering that Jacksonville is a 2-14 football team....
(2) Zach Brown and Darius Reynaud accounted for 28 points on interception and returns. Do the math there and realize that means that the offense done nothing in this game. The offense put up 10 points. They were playing conservative with Chris Johnson running the ball 21 times for 56 yards and Jake Locker only attempting 15 passes. So how does playing this game safe do anything for the team? It does nothing to help these receivers and Jake Locker towards next season.
(3) It knocks the Titans down even further on the draft board.
In a nutshell this game was terrible. The offense looked terrible. They didn't really show any development towards next season with the exception of Zach Brown. They tumbled down the draft board.
