I'm offering everything but the kitchen sink for Stanton.

I'd give them anything for Stanton. I still doubt they trade him though. If the D-Backs can't find the right package for Justin Upton, I doubt the Marlins can find one for Stanton.

Actually, they can refuse it very very easily.

    Nova had a 5 era
Pineda was injured all year and will miss a lot of time this year also
    Campos was also injured
    Betances has no control.

That offer is a joke for a player of Stanton's caliber and affordability.

That was the point of his post.

I don't know man................now supposedly Watson and Michael are being viewed as equals to Cashman and Levine because "they were interested in Jeffery Hammond....."

And so, a new era begins.....

You send the Marlins, Gardner, Betances, Mason Williams, Sanchez and Heathcott.

Then resign Cano and you build around Cano,Teix, CC and Stanton.

What do you do about Granderson and Banuelos.

I would kind of like to see Williams through a little bit.

    You keep Grandy for 2013

    OF: Ichy, Grandy and Stanton

Then let Grandy walk like what happened to Swisher...I would hate to see Mason go but Stanton is the better player long term without a doubt. Banuelos is out all season anyway and you just bring him back with caution and shoot for 2016 with him. 13 out all year, 14 minor leagues, 15 minor leagues and by 2016 he would be ready for major league action....take it really slow....

compared to other teams we don't have anywhere close to enough to land him but i agree with Leo give them whoever they want and i still think that we'd come out ahead

I don't think the two situations are the same. Upton probably hasn't been dealt because noone is willing to meet Arizona's price. Stanton is younger, and already better than Upton, pretty much a legit star. And he is way cheaper than Upton. If the Marlins were serious about dealing him, he is exactly the guy a team would empty their farm to get.

If they do want to deal him, I'm sure there would be several teams lining up to meet the Marlins' price..

Then you don't want Stanton... You're going to have to give up one of them, and 99% sure both of them and one of Austin and Heathcott and more. I'd do it so long as we sign him to an extenstion.

The one hope in all of this is that Loira just doesnt seem to care and Stanton has been very vocal on Twitter about the BS fire sale.

Maybe they move him for a little less just to placate Jefferey's rather enormous ego.
