Guys, the mavs might not even make the playoffs with the way they have been playing!

That's damn realistic and it will be like that. We made it last year and it was very close. This year it's worse and other teams did improve. Much tougher and we're way behind already, having more troubles with those called smaller teams (which aren't anymore small, when you consider their play on the field and their effort, will) - we can (for the better) compete with the big teams, some days better, some days worse, except for San Antonio. Their killing us on a daily basis, even when we did win two against them last season.

I read a lot of wishfull thinking regarding that (making the play offs) these days, even that we will be above .500 in January but that's to me. Sorry. Even with Dirk being at full force (20+ points, good FG%, perhaps an average of 25 points like last year after his come back plus some rebs, approx. 6-8), we're realistically way off of making it anywhere near the playoffs but okay. Nothing new.

The playoffs havent expanded to the top 14 teams in each division?
