2K13 Question.

I was super excited to get this game. However I am extremely disappointed with the my player mode.

I used to LOVE my player and I was really good at it, but this year I just can't find a good shot release. ALL the releases literally require you to hold the shotstick for about 2 seconds to get the green light. That cause my shot to get blocked frequently. Anyone else have this problem?

Its funny because, I bought Kobe's shot release and I can hit with it just fine in exhibition mode, or any time I am playing with Kobe, but when I put the shot release on my player it becomes super hard.

My players midrange is at 85, however I keep getting red on the majority of my releases.

Is it just me?

So you dont have to hold it for really long for a perfect release? Its just a natural release for you?

If its a big man, I recommend shot style Set 4 and shot base Set 14.

Best way to figure out a release is with 3 point shootout if you have the all star dlc... Melo's shot is easiest cause it's mad quick and works amazingly online too.

Yeah, just try changing your shot and then practice with it it shoot around.

I prefer 2k12 over 2k13 in almost all aspects

It's not just you. I skipped on 2K12 so I was coming from 2K11 and it took a while for me to get used to the longer shot releases. I used to use Ray Allen's shot because it was quick, but in 2K13 you have to hold all of them for pretty long to get a good release. It doesn't feel like your shooting the ball at the highest point in your jump shot, but rather on the way down. It's awkward.

I agree with using Melo's release. It's one of the quickest if not the quickest I've tried. Just go into practice/shootaround and practice your different shots.

Alright thanks guys. I've bought Melo, Allen, Ellis and Kobe. I am trying out Kobe right now...been shooting 44%FG...so I guess the shot you choose = the players real FG%

I play as center so mine is diff. Averaging 29 PPG 13 RPG 2 APG 3 BPG. 68 percent FG.

But the jump shots used to be so broken before the patch because you literally had to lean towards the basket to get a perfect release and it felt so late
