Hornets' Gordon to play against Bobcats

    Posted Dec 29, 2012 6:03 PM

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- New Orleans Hornets coach Monty Williams says guard Eric Gordon will play for the first time this season Saturday night against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Gordon only played in nine games last season for the Hornets after being acquired in a trade. He had arthroscopic surgery on his knee last season because of a bone bruise.

Williams wouldn't say how many minutes Gordon will play, but says he doesn't plan to reign him in.

"I won't put any restrictions on his ability because he's a guy who can change a game," Williams said.

Interested to see what the monster layoff has done to his game.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

I still don't understand why they matched that huge offer this summer. It seemed almost out of spite. He's injury prone and didn't want to be there why not just pull a S/T, get some value back and keep building in the draft?

    He looked really good

When the season starts and the blatant homerism subsides, people will realize the 2 biggest flaws on our team. MAYBE??

Looked focus, almost like he knows the better he plays the higher of a chance he'll get out of New Orleans before he becomes a Pelican.

Normally I'd say it will take him time to get into the swing of things but its the bobcats he's playing so the stat line should be good
