    I had a feeling when I saw him down, but honestly, I think since we have Irvin, it affects us a little less than it really could.

    Will Irvin be ready for the increased role?
    Five rounds went by in the 2000 draft... After 198 other players had been chosen, the Patriots drafted him in the sixth round.
    Owner Robert Kraft recalls the night he was leaving the old Foxboro Stadium when he saw "this skinny beanpole" carrying a pizza. "He comes up and says, 'Mr. Kraft, I'm Tom Brady.' I said, 'I know who you are, you're our sixth-round draft choice from Michigan.' "And he looked me right in the eye and he said, 'and I'm the best decision this organization has ever made.' "

    Irvin is as good a pass rusher as Clemons and not quite as good but different against the run.

    He has shown better ability to get off blocks, but Clemons has longer arms and can reach around blockers better and is good at making arm tackles.

    This is a huge loss regardless. I think Irvin will be fine, but he won't provide the impact that Clemons can.

    This is a huge hit to Seattle's defense.

    Jason Collins claims he is the first openly gay NBA player despite the fact we witnessed the entire league bend the Lakers over all season.

    Pretty big hit. Personally i think people are gonna target that side of the line a lot more but i do think we might see a couple sacks by irving next game....the guy is super quick pass rushing specialist.

    I don't think this will really harm us against the Falcons because Turner really hasn't had that burst we saw when Ryan was a rookie.
