From the NBA Forum: Portland Open to Trading LMA

Report: Trailblazers open to trading LaMarcus Aldridge
    Quote:
During the Blazersí recent homestand, a respected and veteran beat reporter approached me and told me that an assistant coach for the team he covered said the Blazers are shopping LaMarcus Aldridge.

    Quote:
Olshey said he has made zero calls to other teams about Aldridge. He did say he has fielded one inquiry from another team, but it was more exploratory in nature, that team feeling the Blazers out. And he said he has no plans to make any future calls about Aldridge as February approaches.
Time for the Nets to figure something out. Don't care how, but this is our chance.

Not a good fit. I'd much rather Wes Matthews

LMA is better than anyone on our roster. If they want to rebuild, they are going to want picks and expirings. If they want to contender now, they will want more to equal value which we don't have.

Also I'm REALLY glad basically gave up Damian Lillard for G-Force.

I will say that if by some miracle we got Phil Jax, LMA would be the perfect high post player for the triangle.

I don't know.I'm not the biggest fan of LMA, he's talented, but kind of soft.
Matters what we give up, i guess.

    I doubt it will happen,

It would be an awesome lineup with tremendous size in the frontcourt....and just size overall

    DW - 6'3
    JJ - 6'8
    GW - 6'9
    LMA - 6'10
    BL - 7'0

We have nothing to offer for him plus they don't seem like they really want to trade him.

Any chance Brooks, Hump and a pick or two could land LMA?

I can see a Pau Gasol trade 2.0 going down. They are trying to tank, save $$ and rebuild. LMA doesn't help that.

But we don't have those pieces attractive to that motivation

If we had something to trade them, I'd be for it.
