    January 10th

Big date for both Sheed and Cope. I do not see any way at what both make that we waive either one of them, I mean zero chance.
    via Knicks - Alan Hahn

A critical date is on the horizon for Chris Copeland. And his recent play is ensuring it will be a big day. More:

Copeland, the 28-year-old rookie, is one of two players on the Knicks roster with a non-guaranteed contract. His salary ($473,604) will become fully guaranteed for the remainder of the season as long as he remains on the roster through Jan. 10.

Copeland, who spent most of his career playing in Europe and a short stint in the D-League, made the roster out of training camp as the 15th Man. He has since emerged as a scoring force off the bench that is threatening to take minutes away from Steve Novak and Ronnie Brewer.

Over the last six games, Copeland is averaging 15.8 points per game. He is shooting 55.5 percent from the field and a blistering 50% (13 for 26) from three-point range.

Copeland's Per-36 scoring average is 22.5 per game, which is second on the team behind Carmelo Anthony (25.8). And he's third in PER (Player Efficiency Rating) with 20.6 behind Melo (25.8) and Tyson Chandler (22.1).

Now his rebounding (2.2 per game over the aforementioned six-game span, including just one in 41 minutes at Sacramento) and defense are troublesome issues, but Copeland has proven he has a scorer's touch and can provide offense off the bench. 29

Rasheed is without a doubt staying. Cope would do good on a rebuilding team like NOLA or Washington.

I say he stays, he will backup Melo eventually if he goes back to SF, that's my guess.

So lets fast forward 3 weeks say:

Kidd, Pablo, Brewer, JR, White, Melo, Novak, Cope, Amare, Sheed, Camby, Chandler, KT and Iman

With Felton out that means 2 will not dress, my guess is KT and White.

I agree with this..although at this point I would prefer either of those 2 over Brewer(really has been disappointing on both ends of the floor)
hopefully his D will get back to where it belongs, and he can be productive for the team

    My guess, White.

    We need Pablo/Kidd/Felton
    We need Iman/Smith/Brewer
    We need Novak/Copeland
    We need Melo/Amare
    We need Tyson/Camby

Clearly White/Thomas would be the DNP
as of now Copeland is more valuable to us than Kurt and White
And Sheed is really needed when we are injured up front but acamby should replace him

Cut Brewer, he's worthless and James White offers more than he does.

We need Camby's defense and rebounding, but we also need Sheed's outside shooting and toughness.

    I'd have a rotation of:

    Kidd/Pablo
    White/Smith
    Melo/Copeland
    Amare/Sheed
    Tyson/Camby

Then when Iman comes back, he will take all of White's minutes and some of Smith's.

I'd rather James White over Brewer right now. Brewer and Felton have been the main culprits for our recent struggles.

Wait, why would we have to waive them...
