The Braves are confident that these moves have positioned them to be a legitimate World Series contender each of the next few seasons.

"We're not done," [Braves CEO Terry] McGuirk said. "We're all about improving this team every step of the way and every chance that we can. We intend to be at this level for a long time.

"Money is not going to stand between us and getting it done at this point because we are that close. I'm talking about [the] long term and short term. I'm talking about talent that is here and talent that isn't here. When we are this close, we are going to try to push it over the top. But there is a lot of talent here."

Lol. Wish this statement was made 2-3 years ago. anyways, I guess we'll see what could be done at rhe deadline with 3rd base if johnson/francisco can't get it done. Maybe some bench spots. Excited for this season to say the least

I like the mindset, but can we please cancel the tv deal, even if it requires a buyout or a stadium name change like the Bobcats had to do.

I'd be interested in season ticket sales. This club is talented and should be for the near future. I don't think the purse strings will change. Dealing from a position of strength gives us more dealing power. Assuming we capitalize on our talent, present players would be more willing to stay and free agents want to be associated with a winning organization.

Speaking with Braves employees, whom I trust, season ticket sales are at their highest point since around 2000.

BTW NBA Starter, I am a huge UNC fan, but the pic of Sonya Curry is mesmerizing lol.
