Terrelle Pryor Gets Starting Nod Against Chargers

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor will make his first NFL start Sunday in the place of injured Carson Palmer, Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Friday, according to the team's Twitter page.

Allen and general manager Reggie McKenzie have talked about wanting to get a better look at Pryor down the stretch, but whether that's as a part-time player or a starter remains to be seen.

With Palmer sidelined for Oakland's season finale in San Diego with cracked ribs and a bruised lung, Matt Leinart and third-stringer Pryor have been sharing time at practice.

Pryor has appeared in two games this season, completing 1-of-2 passes for 5 yards. He also has rushed for 2 yards.

Palmer has actually played great for that Oakland team who is in transition... all things considered.

And hasn't the Palmer GOAT joke been recycled to hell by now?lol

Garbage time statistics can be very misleading, my friend. Carson has only played three good games this year: Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, and the 1st Kansas City game.

Palmer's 1st/2nd half and home/away game splits are nearly identical, my good man.

That's because our garbage time starts in the first half.

palmer sucks. he always had nice yards. some raider fans talk about his bad teams. Any QB will love a prime Chad and TJ as his WR and have a rb who had 3 consecutive years of 1300+ yards rushing, yet carson has a career record of 10+ games under .500

despite my jokes, i actually think palmer is a very good qb. i just find it funny some raiders fan refered to him as the GOAT and ran with it.

He might not be GOAT but he is easy the best QB in the AFC West and outside Brady maybe the second best in the AFC.

you got victimized hes a troll, but hes right. Palmer may be the best ever in any sport, however he may be in a new uniform next year. His 54-66 career record is ELITE.

And this guy claims he's serious. It's like a year of nothing but trolling. Incredible. Impressive.
