and the Knicks will trade him and get nothing for him,,like they did with David Lee
    wait what?

3 years later, knicks clearly in a better position and you bring up David Lee?

I don't know which half of this is more ****ed up. The fact that you think we were better off keeping David Lee, or the fact that you're somehow discontent with what they did with the money and pieces they got back.

This will be a great addition to this team and i for one am 100% optimistic to get that flat top on the court.

BTW did any one see him and JR smith Gagnham style at the end of the game in the huddle during a timeout last night??? i rewinded it 3 times on my DVR hahahahaha

just hope he is the same defender when he comes back, that would be such a blessing.

    Iman Shumpert Is Getting There

    Iman Shumpert is getting there.
By Seth on Jan 6, 10:56a

The Reshumpification is nearing its apex.

I missed Tina Cervasio's pre-game report on Iman Shumpert last night, but here's some follow-up from Marc Berman:

Iman Shumpert finally could be cleared for 5-on-5 contact scrimmages early this week.

Shumpert said his knee will be tested in the next few days for strength before heís cleared. It is the final step to his return from last Aprilís ACL tear.

Shumpert rejoined practice last Sunday and has done contact drills on an individual basis. Shumpert could be around 10 days away from his season debut.

    [Hyperventilates]

Oh man. Ohhhhhh man. Oh man.

Mike Woodson told reporters that Shump will get to practice "when we get back" if he's cleared. He'll probably try to run with the team on Tuesday or Wednesday, following Monday's home game versus Boston and before the Knicks take off for Indiana. The Knicks finish out this week with three games in four nights, then they're off to London for a one-game week before returning to play the Nets on the 21st. If we could get a Shump return anywhere in there...oooh man. Oh man. Oh man. I'm gonna pass ougjkhfujuyt7

Let's temper expectations for Shump early on. First he's got to prove to Woody that he offers something to the team above, Copeland/White; then he has to prove that he offers more than Brewer.

I think just doing that will take 2 weeks. So even if he were to return in 10 days, I still think you add 2 weeks to that til seeing significant action. That means possibly taking over the starting spot from Brewer OR having Brewer/Shump split time at the backup 2, with JR starting.

We are still 3 weeks away.

This is the most exciting article i've read on Shump since his injury. He said he could be playing already if he wanted to so ur expectations shouldnt be tempered. He wants to come back better than he left. Have those expectations of him.

He doesnt even wanna wear a knee brace. Dude is an OG
