If Sully does move on (I don't think tha the will), I'd take a look at Norv to be the OC. Re-unite him with his brother.

Freeman, Martin, and Jackson have been compared to Aikmen, SMith, and Irvin. Why not bring in the guy that coached their offense?

Again, I WANT TO KEEP SULLY.

It's just that time of year when speculation runs rampant.

    I wanna see

    Bill Sheridan - Defensive Coordinator
Bryan Cox - Defensive Front Seven Coach
    Ron Turner - Quarterbacks Coach

    get fired

    list of preferred new coaches

    Defensive Coordinator
Monte Kiffin - or as a Special Assistant to the Head Coach (any sort a position really)
    Lovie Smith - if possible
    Mel Tucker - if available
    Rod Marinelli - if available
    Jon Hoke - if available
    Dick Jauron

    Quarterbacks Coach
    Chan Gailey - if possible
    Pat Shurmur - if possible
    Brad Childress - if possible
Mark Whipple - might not be the right option (questionable)

    Wide Receivers coach
John McNulty - Has to be the guy.

not a big fan of the title "Front seven coach" pretty silly IMO

I really hope Sully stays so that we don’t give Freeman another new OC. I think he can flourish if he can get some continuity. That would really set him back again I think and this is the reason he really isnt making that jump to the next level.

DC= Butch Davis, Monte Kiffin, Ron Rivera (if fired), Ray Horton
and then see who else gets shuffled around after the firings

(Side note... I think Dirk Koetter takes a HC job so hopefully the Falcons offense takes a hit.)

Way off topic here but has anyone glanced at the schedule? Looking at our Home games honestly all but 1 seem winnable but the away games seem tougher going to NE and Seattle.

If Sullivan leaves I'd can understand a qb change. It'll be Josh's 5th system in 5 years I think

why would you fire Turner? or Cox?
I would like to bring in rod marinelli to coach the defense. But i think we will keep Sheridan in the end

    ^^^ I don't disagree with you.

I'm just saying what I would do. As far as Turner goes I feel he didn't do enough of a good job on preparing the inconsistency of Free and Cox gets on my nerves with his antics, not a fan of that sorta BS. But luckily for him Coach has shown patience with that kind of behavior

My thoughts exactly. It has already been said but I dont think there is much strategy to the playcalling right now. We get caught off guard way to much to confidently say the DC is doing any sort of chess playing. To be honest, I dont know that I like either co-ordinator. You cant really argue with the numbers the offense put up this season but it seems like anything other than whats produced by DM is all somewhat lucky "opportunity balls". Not hating Sully just yet, but def not sold.

Just hate to lose Sully because it will likely set Josh 5.0 Freeman back We need to give him some form of stability otherwise we can’t be mad when he fails. Honestly kind of tired of the Bears jacking our assistants... They have been doing it for years and its getting old. I mean WTF, Sully really he has been an OC for 1 year christ….

the more I read and see things the more I think it is clear.

Schiano has not allowed either coordinator to run their system or do what they want. Sheridan is running Schianos system which clearly isnt what he thinks is best or it would be his system as well, not to mention hes not as familiar with it as Greg is.

The JBF article about Schiano taking over play-calling makes a lot of sense.

On offense Schiano preached run the ball and take shots since the second he took over. He meant it. He forced it probably a little harder than needed on the offense and Sullivan. If we had a true slot guy, Bailey/Austing, I think he would change it a little bit.

2012 offense - (Tiquan Underwood & Dallas Clark) + (Martellus Bennett & Stedman Bailey) = Top 5 Offense in 2013

Could be McNulty? Cards blocked Schiano from getting his guy then promoted McNulty to QB coach but I much rather see see him fill our WR coaching position ... and get a guy like Gailey or Childress as our QB coach
