Upcoming Free Agents want to sign with Luck and the Colts

Already hearing from upcoming free agents who say they'd like to go play with Luck and the #Colts. Players are taking notice.

Tweet is a couple weeks old but the point remains. With our cap space + up and coming team Indianapolis is probably the most attractive Free Agent destination. I'm really excited to see what Grigson can do with all the cap.

I was kinda expecting to cover this topic once the playoffs ended, but I am glad to see the thread. Rotoworld published a lst of 2013 free agents and I feel we can cover some glaring holes with the free agents to be. here is the link: http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nf...master-list-13

I think a Mike Wallace addition would stunt the development of TY. If we target a big name skill set player I would think Mendenhall would be a good fit. The line is where we could make the most improvement to this team. Sebastian Vollmer, Will Beatty, or Phil Loadholt would all be significant improvements with a small cap tag. Vollmer is a top of my wish list. The guard Andy Levitre is a top ten LG in the league and needs to be a Colt in 2013. He can protect Lucks blindside with Castanzo. For defense I think we need to target two Dolphins, DT Randy Starks and CB Sean Smith. Smith will probably be franchised but Starks would be a anchor in the front 7. Also I would rather just move Mathis to the RUSH LB spot, and bring in Daryl Smith to play the will. Mathis is a liability in coverage and needs to focus more on attacking the QB. this would also be a cheaper way to replace Freeney.

Yeah, we bit the bullet this year, but next year we'll finally get to see what Grigson is made of. I mean, he did awesome with limited funds, but he's probably salivating at all the cap space this team will have.

The best part about that is that there are probably a ton of players that are also salivating at coming to a team to be a starter and possibly taking us from a playoff team to a super bowl contender...not to mention playing for a coach that no one has a bad thing to say about..

I can't really think of the last time a playoff team that wasn't losing big name players had this much cap space. We will probably lose Freeney, but that isn't a big deal this year with Mathis being the OLB star and Freeney not producing like he used to in this new system.

We are in a rare position of having the money to fix the problems on the team in FA plus keep the players that are working in our new system. If we find an OLB to replace Freeney, SS, and 2+ O Lineman and I'm happy. I have been harping on NT since we hired Pagano, but with McKinney and Chapman hopefully healthy to start next year I don't see it as a huge need anymore other than maybe a depth player or take a shot on someone for cheap looking to turn their career around.

I would like a 3rd down change of pace back. I think Carter is fine as the short yardage/goal line back, and Ballard is good, but I think this team would benefit greatly with a Sproles type back. Especially if Arians leaves and this team starts to utilize the RB in the passing game more often.

Felix Jones is out there.. I think he is a injury concern but considering we dont have a 2nd, 5th, 6th, or 7th round pick that kinda limits our choices to find this change of pace back your speaking of. Plus how fragile can Felix be if he is only playing 3rd downs and returning kicks?

If biting the bullet means going 11-5 in the regular season, then I'd like to bite the bullet every year.
