Jason Kidd and Pablo will step up. Oman should also be back in a 3 week's or so to help in that area.

Believe it or not, this may be the best thing that could've happened for Amare. All of a sudden, his offense is needed in the starting lineup, so he'll probably start. And with a starting 5 of Pablo-Kidd-Melo-Amare-Chandler, I actually think Melo and Amare will mesh very well, because they're playing with three guys who don't really look for their shots. Pablo is unselfish to a fault, Kidd picks his spots, but is much more of a distributor, and Chandler is an alley-oop/putback specialist. Melo and Amare will both get a lot of shots and stay happy, and therefore mesh well. For the first time all year, I'm actually looking forward to Amare's return because the Knicks now need him.

This one hurts. Hopefully itll be less then the 4-6week anticipated time table. He's very valuable even when he's not playing well

What are you guys smoking, every thing from any interview or article I read is about Amare being approached to be a super sub. The team is 21-8 and one of the best offensive teams, even with major injuries.

The Knicks lose a game and it's, "Yeah I think we need to start Amare".

    Like..........Wtf??

Actually no, because he sets up where Melo sets up, JR on the other hand is now needed but will Woody start him when amare returns?

I think now that Camby is healthy and playing you know 9 boards in 13 min? When was the last time we had a Knick who can do that? Oh yea Camby lol

So now Camby backs up Chandler and Sheed will start at PF because he spreads the court and is a defensive presence.

Kidd, JR, Melo, Sheed, Chandler is a very scary team on both offense and defense.

Pablo, Iman, Cope, Amare and Camby is one scary second unit and Amare will benefit from being the guy and having Pablo for pick and rolss and having Camby clean up and Iman hopefully the player on the perimeter he was.

Thta was before this injury. Who in the starting lineup is gonna score now other than Melo? Pablo? Kidd? Brewer? LOL just the thought of starting Brewer instead of Amare makes me wanna puke. Maybe you could've gotten away with it before, but now you have a PG who's unselfish to s fault. They need Amare's offense in the starting lineup now. How you can't see that is

That's where taking turns every possession comes into play. Melo doesn't have to operate in the low block every posession, neither does Amare. Amare can shoot the 15 footer very well, as can Melo and Melo can also shoot the 3. They should both get plenty of opportunities in the post. JR should stay on the bench because he has shown he can excel in that role. Meanwhile, Amare has never shown he can be a super sub off the bench, plus he's making $20 million a year. They will both get plenty of shots and Amare is much more efficient than JR on offense for their careers.

How are we going to start our only two point guards with Felton out??? To run this magical Stat pick and roll that will take over the world, because it's so great??

I don't understand the want and need to prop up Stat by any means for some.

Kidd, JR, Melo, Sheed, Chandler is pretty good, but I think Woody wants to do right by Brewer and let him start.

I believe stat will come off the bench regardless. It really is up to Woodson and what he feels is best for this team.

lets be honest here, you don't start Amare for a couple reasons.

    1. he's been out
    2. we are up 6 games
    3. why ruin chemistry
    4. Kidd is not 25 covering these quick young PG's you know having Sheed and Chandler behind you is not a bad thing.
    5. Pablo needs someone to run the pick and roll with and its not Camby

Anji, I think White continues to start, Woody has these tendancies like starting KT and playing him 6-8 min the entire game.

White can defend so I think he'll keep JR on the bench. Brewer will start but only till Sheed is back with Melo.
