The article has the Yankees as the 3rd best team. Although he makes some valid points worth considering regarding the Giants, the Yankees as the 3rd best team? Really?

And for those of you also in Niners forum, he's decided to become a Niners fan because they are doing well. In his own words.

Don't speak ill of our MVPreacher, Hunter Pence.
So Anna, what do you think about the notion that Russell Wilson is better than Andrew Luck?

Hunter Pence over-rated? he's a career .290 hitter and has his worst season. If you expect regression from some of the guys that had great years, then you better expect improvements from Pence & Belt.

The Giants front office also stated that they recognized what Pence was doing and it is correctable, so I fully expect a normal Hunter Pence for 2013.

I see no reason why we couldn't expect something at least close to Pence's career line of .285/.339/.475. Significantly better than what we saw from him in a Giants uni.

As entertaining as it could be, I don't really put much stock on what writers think. Last year in the offseason, most people had the Giants ranked in the middle of the pack (14-17) and they won the World Series. Its hard for a writer to predict what a guy like Hunter Pence would bring to a team, if Pablo Sandoval would go into a slump or if Lincecum returns to his Cy Young form. Too many factors to consider. As of right now, the Giants are the best team in the league with a World Series championship to prove it.
