because trading away exceptional talent who happens to be happy to be a jet and a positive influence is a terrible idea. especially when criteria like that is not found many times on our team.

others ways to get draft picks and sign good players rather than unloading CRO FO SHO....sorry had too

Is Kyle Wilson not good enough to start?
The Jets have a surplus of quality CB, and teams will pay for it.

The Jets need a WRs, a QB, OLs and a OLBs.
They have so many needs, they need as many picks as they can get.

What could they get for Wilson - a 2nd? I think so.

I know you're suggesting trading Cro. His value's never been higher.

    Not really :/

Landry is a bit of a stretch, Mo not getting at least an alternate spot hurts.

Kyle Wilson is good enough. But there aren't 7 LB/DL who are. The Jets will need to rely heavily on the nickel, as they have for years, which is why they drafted Wilson in the first place when they had other needs.

Wilson - probably, but he isnt in the top half of players at the position in the league.

Cro is in the top 5 or 6

Also he has massively upped his performance when the team needed him, and shown real leadership.

Not the sort of player you want to trade away for a gamble.

Stephen Hill is a second draft pick. I LIKE Hill and think is he a good prospect who had a couple of big games before he hurt his knee, but would you really swap him for Cro???

I'm pretty sure Wilson is in the top half of the league. Probably a top 20 (out of 64) CB.

Cromartie has been lights out this year, and most definitely is a top 5, but before this year he was not a top 20 because all he did was rack up penalties and get burned deep.

Both of these guys have been very good this year. The proof is in the fact that the Jets have a top 5 passing defense, have not allowed a 100 yard receiver, and have only allowed 4 200+ yard passing performances.

Everyone keeps yapping about how this is a passing league, yet opposing QB's can't do **** against the Jets without Revis.

1- Wilkerson is a huge snub

2- Landry making it in is laughable. He's been nothing but average with a few nice hits sprinkled on top.

3- Brick not making it this year but making it in last year is a joke.

Not really. He's been a top 5 center both this season and last season. He just isn't godlike anymore.

Landry deserved it, based on his fear factor.
If you ask players on other teams if they've thought twice about crossing the middle on him, most will say yes.
Sometimes, intimidation is an actual result.
    Congrats to Landry.

Cro deserved it and played excellent this year.

Wilt is borderline to me, because he had some dry patches early this year, although he has come on strong toward the end of the year.
Him not getting in, may simply be a case of too late of an impact.

BUT fear not, Coples and Wilt may both push to be on it next year.

    I dont rate Landry

The big hits he makes get on the highlight reel. The missed tackles don't.

I just think he is an athlete with bad technique and bad judgement. I'd rather someone who makes 19/20 tackles safely and unspectacularly than someone who tries to blast someone every time but makes 15/20

Just for reference, not that these stats should be taken as perfect, but the Jets are 15th best in the league in DVOA against #2 WR according to FootballOutsiders (and there are definitely at least 5 guys who cover #1 WR's better than Kyle Wilson), and ProFootballFocus has him as the #79 corner.

Ignoring those, he's not better than Sherman, Revis, Cro, Heyward, Flowers, Winfield, Tillman, Jackson, Joseph, Hall, Harris, Bailey, McCourty #1, McCourty #2, Browner, Jennings, Talib, Haden, Peterson, Taylor, and plenty of others that I'm not going to list because that's 20. He's not a top 20 corner.

That's just psoriasis. It shouldn't keep him out of the pro bowl in my opinion, and I don't know how you can condone that.

Shame on you. Shame on all of you. It's f'n Christmas for Christ's sake.

Well... I'm happy for Landry but that will drive his price up - and Wilk got robbed, I agree.
