    I am just trying to explain that if you foul the arm it is going to be considered a play for the ball regardless of how he sees it.

    Yeah just because you don't make contact with the ball doesn't mean that it wasn't attempt at the ball, which is what officials look at. Slug3's point is that since he didn't make contact with the ball, it should be deemed a flagrant.

    That's not how they're looked at though, and rightfully so. Intent is the biggest factor....

    A flagrant foul is an excessive amount of contact. That fouls wasn't an excessive amount of contact.

    Not exactly. I mean there are a lot of times players go for the ball and foul and don't even make contact with the ball. I just felt that lebrons right arm was in the air about to dunk it and his left was down by his side and he grabbed it and undercut him. Maybe to me it just looked more dangerous then it really did.
