For what its worth, today Chad Ford said Drummond has the potential to be a top 10 player and could be better than Anthony Davis.

You're just a homer if you think that.

Davis puts up better per game stats but thats only because he plays a lot more minutes. Everybody knows Drummond should play 30MPG besides Lawrence Frank.

PER 36 minutes Drummond averages about 13 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks.

His last 10 games hes averaging 8.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.2 blocks per game in only 23 minutes.

Drummond was drafted based off potential. I feel like he has a chance to be very special. Davis needs to put on weight or else he could be very injury prone. Drummond can put on weight and look like Dwight. I was suprised Drummond fell past 5 to be honest

Why on earth would you say that?

You're just a hater who clearly has not seen Drummond play if you disagree. I would go on further, but it looks like Gator has done the work for me.

I haven't seen enough of either to gauge. Drummond didn't look clumsy against the Suns. I think a lot of teams will regret passing up on him. I thought at the very least, Toronto should have taken a shot at him.

Davis hasn't played against the Suns yet so I can't say.

From what I'm hearing, there seems to be more buzz on Drummond right now.

Why would I hate Drummond? Just look at Davis' fundamentals he is going to be great.

And Monroe was the next great big at this point last season according to most Detroit fans. Let's let Davis play 20 games?

Drummond does have big time potential, something that unfortunately guarantees nothing.

drummond is getting it done. he is an elite shotblocker, elite rebounder and an effective scorer. the only part of his game that needs a lot of work his is FT%. I honestly think when the draft is done, it will be lillard, davis, drummond as the top 3 guys, i don't know what order it will be though. lawrence frank is pissing a lot of people off by not playing this guy more, but it seems to be working well to keep him in a limited roll.

At what point does potential turn into the real thing? I'm watching him play every other night, and he already looks like a top 5 center.

I agree, we got giddy with Monroe (who wouldn't have, he was top 5 in per in his 2nd season for most of the year). I'm still giddy for him, but realize that his potential is a lot lower than Drummonds (who is the face of our franchise).

This topic is more about how impressive Drummond is, and less about how fragile Davis is.

Believe me, I would gladly take either one. But in that topic linked in the first post, it's downright disgusting what is being said about Andre.

Lets start by seeing how he responds to starters minutes (and being gameplannned against), once his coach deems him worthy of it. Top 5 center? Stop.
