Cubs MLB 13 the show predictions

So just got MLB 13 the show for my B-day from the wife...and after playing with it, I went into franchise mode and simmed a season, Cubs went 80-82: Here's some highlights:

    Garza: 17-6 3.39 ERA 201 K
    Shark: 10-15 4.71 ERA 151 K
    E. Jackson 12-2 3.67 ERA 139 K (injured for 2 months)
    Baker: 14-10 3.95 ERA 158 K
    Feldman: 5- 17 5.35 ERA 168 K (led league in losses)
    Wood : 10-4 3.75 ERA 127 K
    Marmol: 1-5 2.15 ERA 88 K 39 SV ( in 45 chances)

    Batting highlights:

    Castro: .312/.330 with 31 2B, 13 3B, 27 SB 18 HR and 82 RBI (214 hits)
    Rizzo: .328/.402 with 33 2B, 1 3B, 2 SB, 34 HR and 119 RBI (200 hits)
    Sori: .255/.310 with 21 2B, 3 3B, 12 SB, 21 HR and 69 RBI

No one else was really that noteworthy. Damn I hope Castro and Rizzo put up those lines in real life. By the way, if you play it, Rizzo is a total beast in that game.

hardly any of the minor league guys are there all made up players no Baez Almora Soler etc. supposedly there is an update available around opening day to fix that but I don't know for sure. So I have not started a franchise yet waiting for that update instead doing that road to the show thing and thats actually better than I thought it would be. plus its a 3d game lol which is pretty sweet

They can't put in anyone who hasn't played in the MLB because they aren't members of the MLBPA if I'm not mistaken?

Anyways, really like this one. Agreed Rizzo is amazing, and his batting stance his awesome.

Also I used to play the batting mode where if you guessed the pitch/area it would tell you which one. This year it seems there is no setting and you have to guess both right.

I'll run what 1 later and post the results here.

    Stewart/Valbuena platoon.

However, in my season I'm actually playing I made serious changes via free agency:

Dumped Stewart, sent Valbuena to AAA and signed Freddy Sanchez to play 3B.

Traded Dejesus and Soriano for specs, signed Grady Sizemore to a 2 year deal with 3rd year club option and moved BJax to LF in a platoon with Hairston.

Traded Marmol for a good RP spec, and signed Brian Wilson to a 1 year deal with 2nd year club option.

Traded Matt Garza for a TON of spec value ( two being SP and one IF), and signed Kyle Lohse who's ranked almost identical to a 2 year deal.

Better than my road to the show mode, I got drafted as a 3B by the damn Marlins.

Just played another game in my franchise mode to finish my first month...I'm not even on beginner and I hit 3 home runs with Rizzo in a game for 7 RBI, his 3rd multi-HR this month. His line right now is sick:

    .434/.486/.903 with 11 HR's and 39 RBI's.

Castro is doing ok too, With him I'm hitting .380/.440/.508 with no HR's and 20 RBI, but 3 3B's and 12 2B's.

Also struck out 12 in a game in EJax's 2nd start and gave up 2 hits and a walk for the shutout. I threw an 8K game with 1 run allowed by shark too. So far so good!

So who all has this game? I have 2012, played it pretty often in the summer, and I sucked at hitting. Couldn't make solid contact, and a disproportionate amount of hits were right at fielders. Like, every single ground ball up the middle was knocked down by the pitcher; every hard liner was directly at an outfielder. 90% of my runs came via the HR because it was totally impossible to string hits together. And I don't what it was, because I was good at hitting in Show 2010. This problem seemed to the consensus from what I've looked up. If 2013 is anything like 2012, I'm not gonna bother. Anyone notice a difference?

I don't get this. It's for 12. I want prospects that have never played an MLB inning. All the guys he mentions for 12 mind you, not 13, have played in the majors.

I think I stated earlier, but if they aren't in the MLBPA, they won't be in The Show. There is no Baez unless you get a download from someone who went in and created all the prospects themselves.

There's a website called Operation Sports that does every minor league roster for every team. It should be available around Opening Day.

The Operation Sports Full Minors roster is always outstanding. It's a collaborative effort involving like 30 people. They put together accurate rosters, ratings, gear, faces, etc. every year around opening day. Every single player on every team's roster is a real player in their update. That's the way to go if you want an accurate franchise.

They also release updates throughout the year that include re-rated MLB players for more accurate rankings, redone pitching repertoire using pitch f/x, gear, and new prospects from the rule 4 draft, among many other things.

It's by far the best MLB The Show roster, and the ONLY way to go.
